Yet another giant, Google, has yet another lawsuit to fight.
TradeComet.com filed an antitrust suit against the search giant. They accused Google of unfairly manipulating its advertising system to harm a potential competitor. TradeComet.com, a small web site, operates a site called SourceTool.com. Sourcetool is a search engine for those seeking business products and services. Essentially its a Business to Business search engine and directory service. SourceTool.com claims to lists more than 750,000 businesses that do business with other businesses.
The company said Google raised the advertising rates it charged the company after it realized that SourceTool was a potential competitor. They also said that Google entered into an agreement with Business.com, a SourceTool rival, with better advertising terms.
Is it just me or does it seem that the Giants of the IT industry think they can do what they want and get away with everything. Not saying that Google is guilty, but these types of cases come up more often than not.
