Many have scuffed at social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter and Linked. They say that too much time is wasted on these. But if used correctly, they can become a great source for directed traffic and inbound links.
Twitter is one such social network. Think of it as SMS/Texting for your PC. You can only tweet 140 characters. So anything you say needs to be concise and to the point. The beauty is that you can add links, which in turn work out as inbound links to your site.
Building traffic with Twitter is like building a reputation. With Twitter, as with any other social network, its friends or followers that matter. You need to build up followers on twitter. People who choose to follow you because the like what you have to say. When you have people that choose to follow you, they will most likely click on links you provide because they have a need to read what you ahve to say.
Twitter can be a marketing dream, if harnessed correctly. So how can twitter help you and your business?
