Have you ever considered why people should visit your blog. There is no natural calling or reason to do so. Put yourself into my position and then ask these few questions. What would your answer be?
The answers should inspire you to change things on your blog to get me to visit, and visit more often. Then get me to stay longer, browsing through your blog.
- Does your post answer a question of mine?
- Does your post challenge the way I think?
- Does your niche interest me?
- Do you offer original content?
- Is your information current and correct?
- Are your posts fresh?
- Is your blog design appealing to me?
- Is your navigation simple and intuitive?
- Is your blog design simple and clean?
- Is your blog too crowded with too many widgets?
- Do you have too many ads on your blog?
- Can I find your blog and post via the search engines?
- Are your posts too short?
- Are your posts too long?
- Does your ‘about page’ do justice to who you are and what your blog is all about?
- How does your blog benefit me?
- Do you have a thriving community?
- Do you offer anything for free?
- Do you have any contest that might attract my attention?
- Does your blog exude passion for your chosen topic?
- Does your blog exhibit a friendly atmosphere?
If you had to ask yourself these questions, how do you think you would answer. How would a stranger answer these questions? How would you change your blog to get the most positive answers possible?
