SA 2010 Blog Awards. Please Nominate me.

Yep it’s that time again. Nominations for the 2010 SA Blog Awards are open. Well it’s not the Oscars, but just a nice pat on the back to say I’ve been recognised.
I’m asking if you guys would be kind enough to vote and nominate me. Pretty please. Ok enough begging.
I entered last year, in the best new blog category, but sadly came nowhere. There are a lot of great blogs here in South Africa, so I don’t feel that bad.
This year I’ve been entered into the "Best Science and Technology" and "The Ogilvy Best Media and Marketing Blog" categories. Now there are a bunch of really good blogs in these categories.There are also huge and broad categories to be in. So here's hoping.
How to nominate.
Actually the awards are split into several stages.
There is the nomination stage, hence this post. Then there is the public voting stage. This is where the top nominees in each category are opened to the public for voting.
Then there is the judges stage. Where a panel of judges will do some final voting.
Nominations and registration phase
Registration or nominations from the general public have already been opened. This phase will be from 1 August to 27 August. So please get your nominations in ASAP.
To nominate browse to SA Blog Awards nomination page or click on the badge, left of this post or near the top of this blog. If you click my “Nominate Me” badge, your nominations should show on the right hand side of the SA Blog Awards Page. Enter in your email and the captcha for security purposes. Then submit.
You will receive a confirmation email from the SA Blog Awards There is a confirmation link inside this email. Click on the link or paste the URL into your browser and your nomination is complete.
There are other ways to nominate. On the SA Blog Awards nomination page, choose the category and enter the blog URL or click the green 'thumbs up' if the blog is already nominated.
Voting phase
Final voting for the top ten nominees, hopefully your vote will put me into the top 10, will be open to the public from the 1st September 2010 till midnight 17th September 2010.
As with the nominations, only one vote per email address will be accepted. You will be asked to review the ten blogs per category in the finals and vote for your favourite blog in each. Mine will be in the Science and Technology, and Best Media and Marketing categories (hopefully). Keep that in mind.
Judging phase
The judges will be asked to finalise the voting. They will be asked to take the number of nominations a blog has received into account. But their vote won’t be based solely on the number of nominations.
Their vote during the voting phase will count 30% of the finalist weighting (the public's will count 70%). So every one of you who nominate for me will count.
Once they have determined the category winners, the Judges will be asked to vote for their overall winner from the winners of each category.
