Have you ever browsed to a site, and you got this warning. "This site may harm your computer". Now how would you feel if you Googled something in your browser, and you got the same message on every search result.
For nearly an hour on Saturday, users got an erroneous message when they did searches on many sites, saying, "This site may harm your computer."
The problem began at 06:30 and ended at 07:25 a.m.
"What happened? Very simply, human error," the company said on its blog. Google flags search results with the message when a site is known to install malicious software. Google sys they do this to protect users from sites that could potentially harm their computer. Instead, many other sites were affected.
A detailed explanation is available at the company's site.
