Twitter is a social networking and micro-blogging service that allows its users to send and read other users' updates (otherwise known as tweets), which are text-based posts of up to 140 characters in length.

Twitter is a social networking service for people (friends, co-workers, family) to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent tweets. Essentially it is what we call, micro-blogging.

Post helpful hints.
Make Announcements
Report backs.
Comment on latest news.
Live updates on events or conferences
Re-tweet or answer other tweeters.
