Susan Boyle became an overnight sensation around the world after she auditioned on Britain's Got Talent. With the help of the internet and YouTube (check out the video), Susan Boyle has become an Internet Superstar.  It has been reported that the combination off all the videos posted around the internet could have been viewed over 100 million times. That's astonishing.

Susan Boyle has been the greatest Viral Internet Topic ever. Her videos have been viewed by the most people ever on YouTube.

Not only has Susan Boyle been offered movie roles, but fan clubs all over the internet have been springing up drawing in huge amounts of fans and traffic. Blogs and news items spring up everywhere with the topic of Susan Boyle.

There has also been talk about the publicity that Susan Boyle has generated and whether that publicity has been monetised. If so, who gets to keep the profits or at least share them.

The strange thing though is that the movie offer, and many other offers, have come from the USA. Google search graphs show that Canada, USA, New Zealand, South Africa, Australia, and a few others, all out way the UK when it comes to search traffic surrounding the key word phrase "Susan Boyle". Is Susan Boyle a bigger star on the other side of the Atlantic, or is it that the UK just do not know a good thing when they see one. Perhaps those in the US just want to take hold of every opportunity to make money and exploit the situation.

What ever the case, movie offers, singing offers, music contracts, etc will be pouring in. Thanks to the viral nature of the internet.

What lessons can we learn from this? Well the obvious is that if you get the right topic, at the right time,your website or blog or advert or home movie clip can go viral on the internet. Susan Boyle considered by many to be over the hill, tool old, too ordinary, became a super star. She disproved all her critics. Why, because she had something different and genuine that everyone else. Because she completely shocked everyone by doing exactly what others thought she couldn't do. Yes, Susan Boyle is a great example of what you can do for you blog or website or advert or company.
