The amateur singer Susan Boyle was admitted to the Priory clinic following her surprise defeat in the final of Britain's Got Talent.
Susan Boyle became a YouTube sensation and an overnight star after her surprising first audition performance. Susan Boyle was taken to the Priory after staff from the show contacted police to say she was acting strangely at her London hotel, the Sun reported.
A Scotland Yard spokeswoman said: "Police were called to a central London hotel to doctors assessing a woman under the Mental Health Act. Police and ambulance attended. The woman was taken voluntarily by ambulance to a clinic. At the request of doctors, police accompanied the ambulance."
Yesterday a doctor had advised Susan Boyle to rest after she lost in the finals of Britain’s Got Talent. She had run amok backstage after her loss, shouting: "I hate this show." This after her midweek meltdown before the finals.
I believe that the midweek meltdown was the starting point of her loosing the finals. She lost a lot of fans who would have otherwise voted for her and perhaps bumped her into first place. Her last outbreak probably proved that she was not the rightful winner of the show. Britain’s Got Talent is not only about talent, but about character.
Here is hoping that doctors and health professionals can get Susan Boyle back on track. You have to admit that she does indeed have wonderful talent. IT would be a shame to see that go down the tubes.
And the winners are:
Meanwhile, winners, Diversity, a group of young urban street dancers from Dagenham in East London, took honours in the finals of Britain’s Got Talent.
Diversity will perform at the Royal Variety Performance in December and join the Britain’s Got Talent live tour, which starts in a fortnight.
Diversity certainly is diverse. The youngest is 13, the oldest 25. Some are graduates, others preparing for their GCSEs. One is a telesales operator, another a bathroom installer. Only one is involved in the music industry. But they all love dance.
